How Can You Help?

The Museum's Board of Directors is undertaking a campaign to build and equip the new facility, along with establishing an endowment fund to help secure a stable financial future for the Museum.  With this in mind, we ask our supporters to consider private gifts and grant support through a number of ways to give:

Cash -- By making a direct contribution, donors may receive a tax deduction for the full value of their gift.  Such gifts are a great help to the Museum because they are available immediately to help achieve the goal of building and equipping a new facility.

Pledges -- Payable over a designated period of time, preferably no longer than three years for this Campaign, pledges often enable a donor to contribute a significantly larger amount than would otherwise be possible.

Securities -- Donors can gain attractive income tax benefits by donating appreciated securities to the Museum.  The full-appraised value of a stock on the date of transmittal will be credited to the Children's Museum Campaign.

The examples above are offered only as a general guide.  Donors should contact their own legal and tax consultants for professional advice regarding individual gifts.  Gifts to the Museum are fully deductible in accordance with federal and state tax laws.  The Museum will be pleased to answer questions and to work with donors and their advisors on the manner of giving that would be most appropriate for each individual.
